Frequently Asked Questions

What is a T-shirt quilt?

Surprise, surprise…it is a quilt made from T-shirts! The printed section of each shirt is cut away and sewn with other shirts and additional fabric to create a quilt.

How many shirts go into a quilt?

The short answer is: as many as you want! There is a minimum requirement of 4 shirts. Keep in mind, T-shirt quilts often look best with the shirts aligned in a grid pattern, so multiples work best (for instance, 24 shirts in a 4×6 layout).

What is the cost of a T-shirt quilt?

Please see our Pricing page for more information.

How do I prepare my shirts to become a T-shirt quilt?

Please have all shirts laundered and bagged together.

How much of the T-shirt is used for the quilt?

A 12.5-inch square is cut around the central image of each T-shirt, resulting in a 12-inch finished square in the final quilt.

What happens to the shirt scraps that aren’t used?

They are discarded unless otherwise requested.

Can T-shirts be sent from anywhere to be quilted?
